Kim Lockhart is a certified dating coach for professionals in LA. Her earlier attempts at matchmaking were more sly, yet unsuccessful. “Years ago when I lived in the Bay Area, I would organize dinner parties, and try to set people up without them knowing it. I wanted it to seem ‘natural.’ But then one or two key people would cancel, and then someone else would bring an unexpected guest, and my whole plan would fall apart. So I figured out that “secret” date coaching doesn’t work.”

These days, Kim is unabashed in her enthusiasm to set singles up. But now it’s through coaching, classes, mixers and rockin’ big parties.

“There are so many smart, fun, creative and basically awesome single people in LA. But they’re not meeting each other. I want to change that!” With that mission in mind, Kim has spent the past few years studying the sexes, through classes, workshops, research, focus groups and real life coaching experience. “When I see the change in someone who suddenly has confidence and enjoys meeting new people, it delights me. And after they’ve had a great date, I’m like a teenager who wants to know every last detail.”

When she’s not coaching, or studying the sexes, Kim can be found napping on the beach, cruising around on her yellow bike, or enjoying margaritas with her husband and friends.

Luis is a former superstar athlete who never had trouble making friends. However, meeting women was a different story. Always one to put in time and practice to achieve a goal, Luis read endless books on women and relationships. He then started applying the various ways to approach and build attraction, but he’s the first to admit that there were a lot of crash and burn scenarios.

However, that only drove him to want to practice even more. Luis never passed up the opportunity to talk to a woman even if he wasn’t interested in dating her. Malls, parks, and grocery stores; they were all places for him to practice.

An important aspect learned in his research was that women are communicators. In order to help him overcome what most consider their number one fear, he joined a public speaking organization. By working on his communication skills, it made talking to women easier.

After a few years, he became aware that it was more about getting to know himself than getting to know women. When he realized this, he became more confident which led to more dating. The more he dated, the more insight he got about the opposite sex. His circle of friends, both male and female, began to take notice. They were impressed with his busy dating life and eventually he became their “dating guru.”

Luis is skilled at providing invaluable dating advice to both men and women. He’s already helped many men overcome their fear of approaching, with positive results. Because he’s been there, he genuinely understands the pressure men feel. Women benefit from his straightforward advice about how men really think. The ladies also learn about how their personal behaviors can turn men on or off. His most important belief is that dating should be a fun experience for all.
