A Resolution That Lasts

Maybe you decided what your resolution is after Thanksgiving but didn’t feel like committing yet, or perhaps you’re still using your New Years Resolution from last year (and the year before that….and the year before that).  VIP Social Events wants to empower you to make your resolution a reality, whether its meeting new people, losing weight, or finally cleaning out your hall closet. Here are our tips.

Making a New Years Resolution is like blowing out candles on a birthday cake – without a plan, it’s just a wish. How are you going to achieve your goal? You have to develop a  course of action that will take you to your success. If your goal is to lose weight, your resolution should be how you plan to achieve the goal, such as going to Pilates three times a week. Also, make your plan realistic, or you’re making it easier to fail. Saying you’re going to work out for three hours every day is great, but if you can’t see yourself maintaining it for the next six months, then you’ll have failed before you started.

You may want to keep your resolution private, but you must share! That way people can help you – and hold you accountable. If your goal is to meet new people, chances are the people you already know…..know some more people! And you’re amazing, so why wouldn’t they want to introduce you?

What’s your resolution for 2014? What did you do for New Years?
